Thinking about hiring a photo booth at your next event, party or even your own wedding? Well how about commissioning Eva the humanoid robot!
Developed by Services Robots, a UK company based in Mucklow Hill near Birmingham - Eva is designed to mingle with guests and uses facial recognition technology to identify people before asking them if they would like to have their photograph taken.
At the front of Eva’s robot body there is an interactive colour screen where guests can choose from a variety of photography options before Eva clicks away to her heart’s content. A print station can also be set up for those instant memories or the photos can be uploaded straight to a social media channel of choice
Eva’s first photoshoot was in April, and according to press updates she was a great hit with guests - and didn’t upstage the bride.
Fingers crossed Eva won’t be putting myself or any other wedding and event photographers out of business any time soon - but hey it is only 2019, I wonder what the situation will be like in 2029 - might be time to invest in some new tech?
